Julia Blasch
Julia Blasch is a professor of Environmental and Sustainable Economics at TH Ingolstadt (Germany) and a Research Associate in Environmental Economics at VU Amsterdam. Her research explores individual behaviour related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, focusing on residential energy efficiency and citizen participation in the energy transition. She mainly works with survey data and experimental methods (choice experiments, field experiments, lab experiments).
From June 2019 to May 2022, she led the interdisciplinary EU project “NEWCOMERS - New Clean Energy Communities in a Changing European Energy System,” which addressed civic engagement in local and supra-regional energy communities. Her current research in Align4Energy builds on previous studies about household energy behaviour, including behavioural biases and energy literacy in the context of energy-efficiency investment decisions.
